FAQs

  • What allied health professionals can rent rooms at Pelvic Health Melbourne?

We warmly welcome allied health professionals offering services including psychologist, counsellors, mental health professionals, myotherapists, lactation consultants, dieticians, exercise physiologists, osteopaths, speech pathologists, occupational therapists.

  • Do I need to specialise in Pelvic Health?

No. While Pelvic Health Melbourne specialises in pelvic health physiotherapy, we welcome a range of allied health professionals whose services complement our values and client-centred approach.

Our rooms may be well suited to practitioners such as dietitians, psychologists, counsellors, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, myotherapists, exercise physiologists, lactation consultants, and other allied health professionals.

We believe multidisciplinary care leads to better outcomes for clients and enjoy working alongside clinicians from different professions who value collaboration, evidence-based practice, and high-quality care.

  • What is included when I rent an allied health room?

    Fully furnished consulting room

    • High-low treatment plinth (where applicable)
    • Desk and ergonomic chair
    • Additional chair for clients
    • Heating and air conditioning
    • Wi-Fi

    • Kitchen/staff amenities
    • Utilities
    • Cleaning
    • On-site parking
    • Administrative support (optional)
    • Marketing/referral opportunities (if applicable)
  • Can I rent the room full-time or part-time?

Yes. We offer flexible room rental options to suit the way you work, whether you're looking for a permanent full-time consulting room, specific days each week, or are gradually building your private practice.

We understand that every practitioner is different. Some clinicians are transitioning from public health or another private practice, while others are expanding an existing caseload. We are happy to discuss a rental arrangement that aligns with your current needs where possible.

If you're unsure what arrangement would work best, we'd be happy to discuss the available options with you.

  • Do you offer administrative or reception support?

Yes. Administrative support is available by negotiation and can be tailored to the needs of your practice.

Depending on your requirements, this may include appointment bookings, telephone and email enquiries, payment processing, client administration, and other day-to-day practice support. Whether you're looking for a fully serviced consulting room or simply need occasional administrative assistance, we can discuss an arrangement that works for you.

Our goal is to provide flexible support so you can spend more time focusing on your clients and less time managing administrative tasks.

  • Can I receive referrals from the clinic?

Yes. We actively support in-house referrals and strongly value multidisciplinary care. Our clinicians regularly collaborate to ensure clients receive the most appropriate care, while respecting each practitioner's clinical expertise and autonomy.

We also encourage shared lunch breaks and create opportunities for clinicians to connect, debrief, and learn from one another. With multiple practitioners working on-site throughout the week, there are plenty of opportunities for informal discussions, professional collaboration, and interdisciplinary learning in a supportive and welcoming environment.

  • Where is the clinic located and is parking available?

The clinic is located on Blackshaws Road in Altona North. A short drive from the West Gate Freeway, with easy access from either the Millers Road exit or the Williamstown Road exit.  Onsite free patient parking is available.

  • Can new graduates rent a room?

Yes. New graduates are welcome to enquire about room rental opportunities.

Our rooms are best suited to practitioners who are confident to work independently within their professional scope of practice and meet the registration and professional requirements of their discipline.

While we foster a friendly, collaborative clinic environment where practitioners naturally connect and share ideas, room rental does not include clinical supervision, mentoring, or structured professional support. Practitioners are responsible for managing their own clinical practice and professional development.

  • Can I hire the training room for workshops or courses?

Yes. Our purpose-built training room is available for hire and is ideal for workshops, professional development events, meetings, and clinical education.

The space has been designed specifically for allied health education and includes practical treatment areas with high-low plinths, making it well suited to hands-on training courses. It can also be configured for seminars, team meetings, case discussions, and presentations.

Whether you're running a one-off workshop or a regular education program, we'd be happy to discuss your requirements and whether our training space is the right fit for your event.
