About Derryn

Derryn is proud to be a member of the Melbourne Chargers, Melbourne's inclusive LGBTQIA+ rugby union team, where he had the honour of serving as captain for many years and playing internationally in the Bingham Cup. These experiences have deepened his understanding of the importance of inclusivity in healthcare, particularly when addressing the sensitive issues related to pelvic health.

Clinical Experience

Derryn is a men’s pelvic health physiotherapist with experience in the assessment and management of a wide range of pelvic health concerns. His clinical practice focuses on bladder and bowel function, pelvic pain, and pain with intimacy, as well as specific conditions such as coccyx pain, penile pain, scrotal pain, anal pain, and men’s sexual health disorders. He has particular expertise in managing Peyronie’s disease, chronic prostatitis, and post-prostate surgery rehabilitation.

Derryn employs evidence-based interventions, including dry needling, to support recovery and symptom management. He is dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all patients, with a special focus on providing culturally competent care for transgender individuals and LGBTQIA+ communities. His approach emphasizes open communication, patient education, and individualised treatment plans tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals.
