Clinical Experience

 

Cara started her career in management training and life coaching but chose to change direction, retraining as a Counsellor. She has worked for the past nine years in Community Health in Footscray and in a secondary school in Essendon, alongside running her own private practice clinic part-time. 

She has recently moved to operate her private practice full-time.

Cara is trained and experienced in the use of psychologically focused approaches, such as Person Centre Therapy, EMDR, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and Narrative Therapy, as well as general approaches to problem-solving, goal setting and planning.
